My name is Susan. My goal and hope for my small, one person business is to create products that make people happy and are useful. I've had full careers in IT, hospitality and refugee support. When I was outsourced in 2014 I spent time in between applying for jobs and interviews doing what I love, creating. After not finding a position I decided to turn that passion for designing and decorating items to use into my career. Although it hasn't always been easy, I can't imagine doing anything else.
What is an Asprika?
When searching for a unique name to register for my LLC, I was interrupted by my two cats, Aspen and Paprika. That's when it came to me AS for Aspen and PRIKA for Paprika. I made up the name so knew it had to be one of a kind. Imagine my surprise when I did the required internet search to find it is a word! The definition is:
"A wing made of all lights that exist in the world. It's name means 'Light of the gods." I thought that must be fate.
